Omschrijving

In metallography you simply lay the polished face of a mounted sample flat on the stage: in an inverted microscope the objectives look from below, so heavy or uneven workpieces are no problem. The KERN OLM is such an inverted metallurgical microscope, ergonomically and very stably built, with a long working distance.

The OLM 171 has powerful, continuously adjustable 50 W halogen illumination; the OLM 170 a 5 W LED and the objectives 5x, 10x, 20x and 50x (50x-500x). Both are trinocular for a C-mount camera and come with a simple polarisation unit (polariser and analyser) and a large mechanical stage with coarse and fine focusing on both sides.

Applications: surface inspection of raw materials and finished products, metallography, failure analysis and quality assurance. Dust cover and manual are included; a wide choice of objectives is available as accessories.
