What to look for when choosing

The hold function is the most important feature. It averages out the movement and fixes the value; without it you measure the wriggling and not the child. A hollowed tray keeps the baby in place and feels safer than a flat surface. Taring with a cloth or nappy should be standard. Growing with the child: some models have a removable tray, so the instrument can later serve as a toddler or personal scale.

Verification requirement

In healthcare, the weight is used for medication dosing and for monitoring growth, and then a verified Class III scale is required. We supply scales verified from the factory; the initial verification is carried out by the manufacturer and re-verification is arranged through the manufacturer. What you can choose from

The range runs from 15 kg to 100 kg. The finest readability is 2 g. Which one you need depends on the smallest weight you still want to see: a scale that goes up to 100 kg reads more coarsely than one that stops at 15 kg.

Here we carry Kern, Adam and Baxtran. These are brands we are a dealer for, and we are authorised by the manufacturer to repair and recalibrate their scales.

Verified or not

Of these 7 series, 2 can be supplied verified with the green M mark, 5 versions in total. You need that mark as soon as the weight determines what a customer pays. We supply scales verified from the factory; the initial verification is carried out by the manufacturer and re-verification is arranged through the manufacturer. See re-verification.

Maintenance, calibration and repair

What we sell, we also maintain. You can have a baby scale calibrated with a certificate or repaired with original parts by us; if it is verified, re-verification is arranged through the manufacturer. More under scale service.

What weighing range do I need?

Take the heaviest item you will ever want to weigh and add the packaging or the pallet. A scale chosen with a much larger capacity reads more coarsely than necessary.

Yes. We are authorised by the manufacturer to repair and recalibrate, using original parts.
