Weighing Experts: supplying, calibrating and servicing scales since 1994

Weighing Experts has supplied weighing equipment to businesses in the Netherlands and Belgium since 1994. We sell scales, but our work does not stop at delivery: we also calibrate, maintain and repair them. That tells us how a scale behaves after five years in a warehouse, a wash-down area or a laboratory, and we bring that into our advice.

What we supply

Our range covers more than 6,000 versions from KERN & SOHN, OHAUS, Adam Equipment, Baxtran, Gram and WPL Industries. It runs from analytical balances reading 0.01 mg to floor scales, pallet scales and axle weighers for vehicles.

In between are precision balances, bench and counting scales, crane scales, moisture analysers and test weights in OIML classes E2 to M3. We supply individual load cells and weighing indicators from stock. For process weighing we put together weighing systems to order, with software that passes the weighing data to your own administration.

We work with a limited number of manufacturers, on purpose. We know their technology, we have the parts, and the manufacturers have authorised us to repair their instruments.

Who we work for

Our customers weigh in industry and warehousing, food production, laboratories and quality control. But also in retail, healthcare, education, agriculture, construction and on board ships.

What they need varies widely. A forwarder checking pallets needs a different instrument from a baker weighing dough, even if both show the same maximum. So we start with what you weigh, where the scale will stand and what happens to the weight. Only then do we choose the scale. An overview by trade is under scales by industry.

Verified scales

If you weigh for sale or invoice by weight, your scale must be verified for trade use. We supply verified scales from the factory; the initial verification is carried out by the manufacturer, and re-verification is arranged through the manufacturer.

Adam Equipment, Giropes (Baxtran), Gram, OHAUS and KERN have authorised us to repair and recalibrate their instruments using original parts. These authorisations cover 101 model series, including series we no longer sell ourselves.

Calibration and maintenance

We calibrate scales from a few milligrams up to 60,000 kg, with a calibration certificate you can use for ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP or IFS. This can be done on site or in our own workshop. We bring the weights ourselves.

We calibrate and adjust test weights and calibration weights in our own laboratory, Masslab. Your certificates are then available in the Masslab customer portal.

Repair with original parts

We repair the brands we carry, even if you bought the scale elsewhere, using original parts from the manufacturer. For a verified scale that matters: with a different part the type approval no longer applies.

If a repair no longer makes sense, for example because parts are no longer available for an older instrument, we tell you beforehand.
