A pallet scale is made for the most common task in a warehouse: determining the weight of a full pallet without first transferring it. There are three ways to do this, and which is right for you depends on where weighing fits into your process.

Pallet scales: weighing without extra handling
Three versions
The U-frame is the classic: a U-shaped platform that lies on the floor and that you drive straight into with a pallet truck. Inexpensive and robust, but it stays in one fixed place. Separate weigh beams are two individual beams that you can place further apart as needed, so you can also handle non-standard pallet sizes, IBCs and mesh boxes; they are also easy to move. The third option is the weighing system in the transport equipment itself: a pallet truck with load cells built into the forks, such as the Gram T-Camel with a capacity of up to 2 tonnes, or a weighing system on the forks of a forklift for heavier loads. You weigh while moving the load and weighing disappears completely from the process as a separate step. That solution is usually the most expensive to buy and the cheapest to use, because there is no walking distance and no waiting time at the weighing point.
What to look out for
Always weigh well within the capacity: a 2000 kg pallet truck that lifts 1900 kg every day will not last as long. With a pallet truck or forklift weighing system, pay attention to the division, which at 0.5 or 1 kg is coarser than on a fixed platform; that is fine for shipping weights, but not for weighing out raw materials. If you work in a damp or hygienic environment, choose a stainless steel version. And if you weigh pallets whose weight goes on the consignment note or invoice, you need a verified version plus periodic re-verification; we supply scales verified from the factory, and re-verification is arranged through the manufacturer.
Commissioning and maintenance on site
We do not just deliver the scale; we commission it on your premises: aligning, setting up, connecting to a printer or system and checking it on site. For maintenance, repair and calibration our service engineers come to your warehouse, so a pallet truck or U-frame is not out of action for days.

For larger or irregular loads, take a look at the floor scales; for weighing on a crane or hoist, see the crane and hanging scales. If you want to record weighing data automatically instead of copying it by hand, take a look at our weighing systems and software.
What there is to choose from
The range runs from 300 kg to 3 tonnes. The finest readability is 100 g. Which one you need depends on the smallest weight you still want to see: a scale that goes up to 3 tonnes reads more coarsely than one that stops at 300 kg.
Which brands
Here we carry Baxtran, Kern, Adam, Gram and Ohaus. These are brands we are a dealer for, and we are authorised by the manufacturer to repair and recalibrate their scales.
Verified or not
Of these 36 series, 13 can be supplied verified with the green M mark, 46 versions in total. You need that mark as soon as the weight determines what a customer pays. We supply scales verified from the factory; the initial verification is carried out by the manufacturer and re-verification is arranged through the manufacturer. See re-verification.
Checking and recording
If the pallet is weighed to accept or reject it, or to record it, also see checkweighing in production: setting limits, tare per pallet and recording or forwarding the result.
Maintenance, calibration and repair
We calibrate, maintain and repair a pallet scale where it stands, with the test weights that match its range - authorised by the manufacturer and with original parts. See pallet scale calibration, on-site maintenance and pallet scale repair. All in one place: scale service.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get a scale from this page verified?
Some of the series here can be supplied verified, with the green M mark. This is shown for each model under "Available verified"; we supply them verified from the factory, and re-verification is arranged through the manufacturer.
What weighing range do I need?
Take the heaviest item you will ever want to weigh and add the packaging or the pallet. A scale chosen with a much larger capacity reads more coarsely than necessary.
Can you also maintain the scale?
Yes. We are authorised by the manufacturer to repair and recalibrate, using original parts.
