A pocket scale is made for anyone who needs to weigh where there is no table: at a supplier's, in the field, at a trade fair or at the counter. Small, battery-powered and with a lid that protects the pan in your bag. Our range runs from 50 g to 1 kg, with divisions from 0.001 gram, from KERN, OHAUS and Gram.

Pocket scales: a precision scale in your jacket pocket
What to look for when choosing
Do not underestimate the requirements. A pocket scale with a division of 0.001 gram is a precision instrument, and you will notice that in the conditions: on a wobbly surface or in a draught it will not settle. Find a flat, stable spot. The lid is not just protection but on many models also the draught shield; weigh with the lid open and out of the wind. Taring for the dish or bag you weigh in should be standard. Batteries: take spares with you, because a pocket scale with flat batteries is no scale at all.
Not for trade use
Pocket scales are not verified and therefore may not be used to sell by weight. For an indication, a check or sampling they are excellent. If you want to know whether yours is still accurate, Weighing Experts can calibrate it with a certificate.
Related categories
For the same fine readability in a fixed position, take a look at the precision balances or the analytical balances. A set of small check weights fits in the same bag and tells you whether the scale is still accurate.
What you can choose from
The range runs from 50 g to 1 kg. The finest readability is 1 mg. Which one you need depends on the smallest weight you still want to see: a scale that goes up to 1 kg reads more coarsely than one that stops at 50 g.
Which brands
Here we carry Kern, Ohaus and Gram. These are brands we are a dealer for, and we are authorised by the manufacturer to repair and recalibrate their scales.
Maintenance, calibration and repair
What we sell, we also maintain. You can have a pocket scale calibrated with a certificate or repaired with original parts by us. More under scale service.
Frequently asked questions
What weighing range do I need?
Take the heaviest item you will ever want to weigh and add the packaging or the pallet. A scale chosen with a much larger capacity reads more coarsely than necessary.
Can you also maintain the scale?
Yes. We are authorised by the manufacturer to repair and recalibrate, using original parts.
