A label printing scale weighs the product, calculates the price and, in the same step, prints a label with description, weight, price, best-before date and a barcode. That label goes on the packaging, and the code is scanned at the till. This way the product is weighed only once and nothing has to be retyped. We supply label printing scales from Adam Equipment and Baxtran, from 6 kg to 300 kg.

Label printing scales: weigh and label in one go
What to look for when choosing
The label determines the rest. First check which data must go on it and how large the label is; the printer follows from that, and it is the most expensive component. Number of items. A butcher's with forty products has different memory requirements from a packing department with thousands. Connection to your system. If you manage items and prices centrally, you do not want to maintain them on the instrument; check whether the scale can handle an import file or a network connection. Stock of label rolls. A non-standard size is a problem that comes back every year; choose a common size.
Verification requirement
The weight on the label determines what the customer pays, so the instrument must be legal for trade and must be re-verified after a repair to the weighing mechanism or a broken seal. We supply scales verified from the factory; the initial verification is carried out by the manufacturer, and re-verification is arranged through the manufacturer.
Related categories
If you charge at the counter instead of labelling, take a look at the retail scales. For checking fill weight, see the checkweighing scales, and for a separate display, the weighing indicators.
What you can choose from
The range runs from 3 kg to 300 kg. The finest readability is 100 mg. Which one you need depends on the smallest weight you still want to see: a scale that goes up to 300 kg reads more coarsely than one that stops at 3 kg.
Which brands
Here we carry Adam, Baxtran and WPL Industries. These are brands we are a dealer for, and we are authorised by the manufacturer to repair and recalibrate their scales.
Verified or not
Of these 5 series, 2 can be supplied verified with the green M mark, 14 versions in total. You need that mark as soon as the weight determines what a customer pays. We supply scales verified from the factory; the initial verification is carried out by the manufacturer and re-verification is arranged through the manufacturer. See re-verification.
From weight to label
A label showing the actual weight turns the scale into a trade instrument as soon as the price is derived from that weight. What belongs on the label, when the scale must be verified and how to keep the records is explained in weighing and labelling prepacked food.
Maintenance, calibration and repair
What we sell, we also maintain. You can have a label printing scale calibrated with a certificate or repaired with original parts by us; if it is verified, re-verification is arranged through the manufacturer. More under scale service.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get a scale from this page verified?
Some of the series here can be supplied verified, with the green M mark. This is shown for each model under "Available verified"; we supply them verified from the factory, and re-verification is arranged through the manufacturer.
What weighing range do I need?
Take the heaviest item you will ever want to weigh and add the packaging or the pallet. A scale chosen with a much larger capacity reads more coarsely than necessary.
Can you also maintain the scale?
Yes. We are authorised by the manufacturer to repair and recalibrate, using original parts.
