Omschrijving

The KERN OKM 173 is an incident light microscope for the workshop and the materials laboratory: metals, coatings, polished sections and other opaque surfaces that have to be lit from above.

The powerful, continuously dimmable 5 W LED gives high-contrast images. The illumination unit has a filter wheel with five positions (blue, green, yellow, grey and open), so a single turn changes the contrast of the surface. A simple polarisation unit (polariser and analyser) is included to suppress reflections.

The large mechanical stage is set up for incident light work; focusing is by coarse and fine drive on both sides. The trinocular tube takes a C-mount camera for documentation and quality reports. A dust cover, eyecups and a multilingual manual are included; extra eyepieces and objectives are available.
