Omschrijving
The refractive index is one of the most reliable characteristics for identifying a gemstone: a diamond, a sapphire and a glass imitation each refract light differently. The KERN ORA-G measures that refractive index from 1.30 to 1.81 nD, readable to 0.01 nD. Place a cut stone with a drop of contact liquid on the prism and read the value.
The ORA 1GG and ORA 2GG are analogue, maintenance-free instruments with a finely engraved scale and an adjustable eyepiece. Included: storage box, calibration block, contact liquid, pipette and cleaning cloth.
For jewellers, gemmologists, valuers and buyers; an ISO calibration certificate is available to order.
