About Kern
Kern is one of the oldest names in the trade: the German company has existed since 1844 and has been making weighing and measuring technology ever since. The range runs from analytical and precision balances for the laboratory to medical and industrial scales, making it the broadest range we carry. Kern combines that long tradition with modern technology: digital interfaces, software and measuring instruments alongside the scales themselves.
Our authorisation
We are authorised by KERN & Sohn to repair and recalibrate their weighing instruments, using original parts. Re-verification of a verified Kern scale, including after a repair, is arranged through the manufacturer.
What you can choose from
The range runs from 50 g to 12 tonnes. The finest readability is 0.01 mg. Which one you need depends on the smallest weight you still want to see: a scale that goes up to 12 tonnes reads more coarsely than one that stops at 50 g.
Verified or not
Of these 306 series, 99 can be supplied verified with the green M mark, 794 versions in total. You need that mark as soon as the weight determines what a customer pays. We supply scales verified from the factory; the initial verification is carried out by the manufacturer and re-verification is arranged through the manufacturer. See re-verification.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get a scale from this page verified?
Some of the series here can be supplied verified, with the green M mark. This is shown for each model under "Available verified"; we supply them verified from the factory, and re-verification is arranged through the manufacturer.
What weighing range do I need?
Take the heaviest item you will ever want to weigh and add the packaging or the pallet. A scale chosen with a much larger capacity reads more coarsely than necessary.
Can you also maintain the scale?
Yes. We are authorised by the manufacturer to repair and recalibrate, using original parts.
